Aleeanna and Savannah say they love to talk. Aleeanna especially likes playing with dolls, and Savannah likes video games.

Aleeanna and Savannah are described as social and happy little girls who are very close to each other. These sisters are of Caucasian and Hispanic descent, and are bilingual in English and Spanish.

Aleeanna, age 7, likes to be called Arly. Arly loves attention and enjoys playing with dolls. She loves playing dress up and putting on make-up. She is very engaging with both adults and peers and has a lot of friends. Currently finishing Kindergarten, Arly is doing well, and is on target developmentally. She can sometimes struggle with boundaries, and does best with a high level of supervision.

Savannah, age 9, is a very loving and caring girl who also likes to interact with people.

She enjoys watching television and playing video games. In school, Savannah benefits from an Individualized Education Plan. She is taught in a substantially separate classroom environment, and has an extended school year. Like her sister, Savannah can also sometimes struggle with boundaries, and does best with a high level of supervision. Savannah responds well to sticker charts, reward systems, and clear expectations.

The ideal family for Arly and Savannah is a strong two-parent family without children, or with children who are older than the girls. These sisters need a family who is open to birth family contact. They would thrive with a family that could give them the attention they want and the supervision they need.

Adoption Option

“The Adoption Option,” an event planned for Sept. 29, from 9 to 11 a.m., at Jordan’s Furniture, 50 Walker’s Brook Drive, in Reading, will be an opportunity to learn more about adopting from foster care. Prospective adoptive parents, particularly those new to foster care adoption, are invited. Attend an orientation to the adoption process, speak with social workers and experienced adoptive parents, and meet waiting children.

To learn more about Arly and Savannah, or to RSVP to the adoption party, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at 617-54-ADOPT (617-542- 3678) or visit www.MAREinc.org.
