Girl Scouts at work
Members of Girl Scout Troop 40346 of Florence, along with several adult volunteers, recently assembled a kiosk on Sylvester Road for the Mineral Hills Conservation Area. The kiosk, near a parking lot leading to the hiking trails, offers maps and information about the area. It was built with wood donated by R.K. Miles and the parts were built at the Hampshire Jail and House of Correction. Troop members, who are working toward their Silver Cadette Award, also helped build foot bridges at the conservation area.
