Style Stop: Jane Ziff

The Style Stop team spotted Amherst resident Jane Ziff’s distinctive winter look as she chatted with a friend at the A.P.E. Gallery in Northampton. We stepped inside to ask her about her outfit.

Shirt: This is my husband’s shirt and it’s a little too big for me so I tied this scarf over it. I’ve had it for a long time and had nothing to do with it. Today, I thought, I’ll tie it around my waist because the shirt is big and someone said it’s fashionable.

Leggings: I got these at TJ Maxx.

Scarf: It came with a coat I bought about 15 years ago. They were in the window of a store and I bought the coat thinking that it came in a set with the scarf but it didn’t. I bought the scarf anyway.

Everyday ROUTINE: I decide what I want to wear the night before so I don’t have to think about it in the morning. In the morning, I just want to do.

Fashion no-no: There was a time when everyone gave up on makeup and was going for the natural look. I didn’t start wearing it when it came back in fashion. I’m also uncomfortable in heels.
