Town mails out calendars — with mistake in July

WARWICK, R.I. (AP) — July is a little off in Warwick.

The Providence Journal reports that 30,000 copies of the 2013 city calendar were mailed to residents last week — with an incorrect page for July.

The calendar, which shows local pictures and includes trash pickup schedules, shows the seventh month beginning on a Sunday rather than a Monday. Residents immediately began calling in to report the mistake.

Public Works Director David Picozzi says the design firm made the mistake. He says a corrected page for July will be sent to all households at no cost to the city. He says residents will be able to stick the new page on top of the existing one.
