Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampshire County: A big thank you to UMass sorority
To the editor:
The staff, board members, volunteers and kids at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampshire County would like to send out a huge thank you to the wonderful women of the UMass Amherst Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority for their continued commitment to support the children in our community.
On the Oct. 20 weekend the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority at UMass Amherst hosted a wonderful Halloween Celebration for our “Bigs” and “Littles,” with pumpkin decorating, mummy wrap competitions, and a spooky haunted house. Over the years we have developed a relationship with the Kappa sorority through their continued support for our program, and we depend on their generosity in order to have events like the Annual Halloween Party for our children. UMass students have been some of our best volunteers, recruiters and supporters, and we wanted to take a moment and acknowledge all the great work they do for our organization and the children we serve. Thanks so much Kappa Kappa Gamma for your support.
