Dog park in Northampton would be win-win for all

To the editor:

I would like to join the group of readers who are calling for a designated dog park in Northampton.

I am a dog lover and owner but I do not want anyone to have to fear being accosted by either unfriendly or even overly friendly unleashed dogs on the trails.

When I visit my daughter in Brooklyn we take her dog to a nearby dog park where he can run and play with other dogs and owners can visit with one another as well.

If this can happen in the city we should certainly be able to do it here!

There is no doubt in my mind that this would be a win-win solution to this long-standing “problem.”
