Northampton police looking for driver who struck cyclist near Forbes Library

NORTHAMPTON — Police are looking for the driver of a grey Honda Accord that allegedly struck a bicyclist at 4:38 p.m. Monday on West Street.

Police said Alan Korman, 22, of Maplewood Terrace, Florence, reported he was riding in the bike lane near Forbes Library when a car making a right-hand turn onto West Street struck him, forcing him to the ground.

Korman was treated and released from Cooley Dickinson Hospital, where he was taken following the accident for treatment of a cut on his hand.
