Dave King: GOP ruthless in its hatred of Obama

Speaker of the House John Boehner, R-Ohio, talks to reporters about the deadline to fund the government and the fight among House Republicans, on Capitol Hill in Washington, Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013. House Republicans vowed Wednesday to pass legislation that would prevent a partial government shutdown and avoid a default while simultaneously canceling out President Barack Obama's health care overhaul, inaugurating a new round of political brinkmanship as critical deadlines approach. To the editor:

The GOP is threatening to shut down the government and crash the economy unless the Affordable Care Act is repealed or defunded.

They claim this is to rein in spending, however, it has been demonstrated the rate of increase of health care costs has slowed under “Obamacare” and also that President Obama’s policies are reducing the federal deficit faster than any president in half a century. Since the cost of Obamacare is not really an issue, why is the GOP being so obstructive?

It is hard to imagine that anyone could be so ruthless as to inflict the cost of economic collapse on the American people in order to deny President Obama a policy victory.

Don't be silly Gary, Survivor, and Gigg. Don't you know you can't argue with a Liberal? Why, they know all the answers, and what's right for us. Why you must be racist homophobes and obstructionists trying to take the country hostage. We really should all just agree all the time with them because they are all so right in their views. Why would you want to question the Liberal Agenda? Having any other viewpoint is just plain wrong.

Do you realize that you guys act just like the hostage takers that you send to congress on these posts? If people don't agree with what everything you say, no matter how outlandish, you just roll over into your whiny little rant about how you're being victimized by the Liberal Agenda. You must realize, deep down, that your "vision" is devoid of actual basis in reality, and decided that your last recourse is to appeal to political correctness or liberal guilt by saying "I deserve to be taken seriously, no mater how ridiculous what I'm saying is." Honestly, I don't personally know what's right for you, but I know the difference between what comes out of the Fox News echo chamber and actual (you know, real) reality. I also know the difference between the opinions of "the people" and a those of a minority of the electorate who have deluded themselves that they are a majority. It's just a pity that they're trying to take the rest of us down with them.

Payback time for what the Dems did to President Bush.

I too always make sure and get revenge on the people stuck cleaning up my messes.

Once again we hear from the Obama-zombies. How in the world can anyone, with a straight face, say "...that President Obama’s policies are reducing the federal deficit faster than any president in half a century." Any search engine will pull up charts, graphs and the numbers that are the Obama deficit. $17billion and growing. President Obama has a deficit larger than every President that came before him COMBINED. And President Obama wants to raise the debt ceiling AGAIN. Making a comment like the one quoted above just shows how uninformed some people are. And what is more frightening is that they vote.

ValleySurviorMan, it is time for you to understand....the election is over; you and many others did not win the republican presidency of which you voted for, in other words you lost. Time to move on, get over your anger. We live under one nation, and you would have to be truly ignorant to not see that the majority of the republican leadership has done everything ethical and unethical to defame our President and divide our country. They would much rather see our country fail, than to see President Obama succeed in leading our country to with the best interests for all, and that is the biggest selfish shame in it's self. Even when a comprise was dealt, the republican leadership wanted all or nothing, and that is a fact, look it up.

Politics is an endless process. It doesn't stop with one election. So when Bush won ya'll acquiesed and supported his policies? Please spare me. The house is the peoples voice and is closest to the people. An electoral landslide like no other in our history happened in 2010 when the American people threw Nancy Pelosi out of her speakers chair in the largest electoral swing in the history of the United States. In 2012 they kept this majority even though the American people had a chance to put Pelosi back in the speakers chair and they didn't. Every single poll shows the American public's distaste and disapproval of Obamacare. It has caused untold job loses, reduction in work hours, thousands of layoff in the medical field and is going to be a disaster and every poll has shown the American people don't want it shoved down our throats but the elites in the democratic party insist on doing this to us even though they know we don't want it. The Republican party is acting on the will of the American people, plain and simple.

Hilariously ignorant, written by a deluded Fox News sheep that is either completely unaware that there is such a thing as districting, or pretending to be unaware. The people causing chaos in the house now are "closest" to "the people" in meticulously gerrymandered districts. They are only beholden to voters that form a small minority of the national electorate that voted AGAINST republicans in 2012. This is why even the few Republicans that come closest to the mainstream of American opinion soured on Cruz and the baggers. Heck, even the baggers soured on the baggers, with Rand bailing on Cruz. The autophagia of the Republicans would be amusing, if not for the fact that your brainless fellow travellers are about to wreak real havoc on our economy. Congradulations, you must be very proud. You realize that, when the inevitable happens, Gary, you might be morally accountable for what the cynical clowns that you vote into office might be about to make happen. Here's some cynical advice of my own: The best thing that could happen to the Republicans at this point is that enough of them "RINO" out so that the disaster is averted. Then, twits like you can rail against them, to the amusement of the rest of us, confident in the fact that disaster is not the inevitable outcome of your astroturf populism. And I'd bet dollars to donuts that that's what will end up happening.

No, you are wrong, the Republican party does not SPEAK the Will of all the American people or they would have won the election. NEWS FLASH, the American people spoke and the majority voted for President Obama, now that is "plain and simple".
