John Sinton: Mill River needs citywide stewards

To the editor:

We at the Mill River Greenway Initiative appreciate reporter Bob Dunn shining a light on the trash problem along the Mill River in Leeds in the Gazette (Tuesday, July 16). The hotter the summer, the worse the problem, and the good folks in Leeds are doing their best with no outside help. It’s time for the whole community to step up to help solve the problem with the Leeds Civic Association, the city, and the Mill River Greenway Initiative all pitching in. Let’s see what we can do together.
