Friday’s high schools: South Hadley girls lacrosse rolls past Northampton

Meg Ginley scored six goals as the South Hadley girls lacrosse team climbed above the .500 mark with a 15-3 home victory over Northampton on Friday afternoon.

Kara Callahan had two goals and two assists for the Tigers (4-3, 2-3 Valley Wheel), who have won four in a row. Kelly Pouliot (four assists), Brooke Marion (two assists), Maddie Brandts (two assists), Sienna Hebert, Claudia Menard, Olivia Slysz and Tara Bainbridge added a tally apiece.

Beth Hennessey stopped 15 of 18 shots for the win in goal.

Hunter Zackaricz scored twice for Northampton (4-3, 2-3). Missie Maiewski had one goal and Molly King picked up two assists.

Bridget Harrington and Dana Dufour each played a half and both made one save.

Prep schools Girls lacrosse

Williston 12, Ethel Walker 2 — Karly Simpson of South Hadley scored three goals as the Wildcats (8-0) won at home.

Hannah Gagnon of Easthampton, Grace Simpson of South Hadley and Taylor Potaski each added two goals for Williston.

Janelle Parker made two saves.
