Casino Night was the theme of this year’s prom at Tri-County Schools in Easthampton, attended by about 50 students ages 15 and over.

Students chose the theme and many of them participated in decorating the room for the event. Students in the school’s culinary arts program prepared the meal and refreshments.

Karen Pagella, a teacher, helped organize the prom, along with staff member Kelly Smith, who pitched in to offer a selection of donated gowns and suits. Volunteer stylists donated hair and makeup services; Corina Miller of the Botaniste in Easthampton donated corsages for the girls.

Tri-County Schools, which is operated by Northeast Center for Children and Families Inc., offers elementary, middle and high school programs for about 115 students in western Massachusetts. Founded in 1972, the Northeast center serves children with complex, serious emotional needs, mental health and behavioral problems. Its mission is to provide children, teens and their families with the stability, skills and support they need to succeed in their homes, school and communities.
