CPA recommends library, town hall fixes
The Community Preservation Committee is recommending $42,000 be spent to repair the Graves Memorial Library and Town Hall.
The committee is supporting spending $22,000 to repair and restore the windows of the Graves Memorial Library on North Main Street and $20,000 for repairs to the Town Hall.
In the Town Hall, the repairs would fix failing plaster and water damage inside the building. It would also repair an unoccupied room that the Board of Selectmen hopes to use as a storage space for committees.
Both projects this year fall under the historic category.
The proposals would go before the townspeople for final approval at Town Meeting on April 26.
