Pedestrian hospitalized after being struck by car

The accident occurred about 1:35 p.m. according to police, and is still under investigation.

The name of the victim was not available from police Tuesday afternoon, nor was information about the type or severity of his injuries.


9 violators towed during emergency parking ban

For the duration of a snow emergency, parking is prohibited on all city streets and in city parking lots between midnight and 6 a.m. except for Main Street, where parking is prohibited from 2 a.m. to 7 a.m. The Armory Street parking lot is open for overnight use during snow emergencies except 8 to 10 a.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. to allow for plowing. ∎ Keith Brodeur, 56, who gave his address as the streets of Northampton, was arrested Monday at 4:04 p.m. on the bike path at Maple Street on a Brighton District Court warrant related to a charge of failure to attend jury duty.
