Tuesday's high school skiing: Sean Doyle of Frontier Regional third in giant slalom

Three local boys skiers earned a top 10 finish Tuesday afternoon in the PVIAC giant slalom race at Berkshire East in Charlemont.

Sean Doyle of Frontier Regional came in third overall with a time of 26.35 seconds.

Greg Lerner (26.51) of Amherst and Charles Denhart (27.02) of Northampton were fifth and 10th, respectively.

The Northampton girls continued their streak of winning the South Division by besting Frontier by 9.7 seconds in the slalom.

The Blue Devils’ Madison Mientka was the top local girl with a 13th-place showing at 42.17.
