Officials investigate Easthampton garage fire
EASTHAMPTON — Firefighters extinguished a fire that gutted a detached garage at 170 Pleasant St. Saturday at 6:30 a.m. Damage to the garage was estimated at approximately $1,000 plus an “undetermined amount of damage to the contents,” according to a statement from the Fire Department.
The Fire and Police departments and state fire marshal’s office are investigating.
According to city records, the property, which also includes a two-family home, is owned by Marcella and Tanya Severance.

Amherst
■ Eric D. Fusco, 19, of Revere, was arrested Sunday at 3:42 a.m. at Brandywine Apartments on a charge of vandalizing property after he scuffed a bumper and damaged a rear reflector on a vehicle parked outside the complex, police said.
■ A 23-year-old man reported suffering a broken nose after another man head-butted him outside the downtown bars Sunday at 1:15 a.m.
■ Police issued two $300 tickets, for violations of the town’s noise and nuisance house bylaws, to a 21-year-old Franklin man they said was responsible for a loud party with 100 to 150 guests at 164 Sunset Ave. Saturday at 11:39 p.m.
■ Adam P. Lagace, 25, of Concord, was arrested Saturday at 1:10 a.m. on Boltwood Walk on a charge of disorderly conduct after officers responded to a fight involving four men, police said.
■ James Maurice Gray, 29, of 81 Belchertown Road, Unit 81, was arrested Friday at 9:05 p.m. on Bay Road on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
Belchertown
■ Sarah B. Henry, 21, of 121 North Main St., Unit P8, was arrested Sunday at 4:49 a.m. at Lord Jeffery Apartments on a charge of assault and battery.
Easthampton
■ Police are investigating the reported theft of about $5,000 worth of property from a Loudville Road home. The homeowner reported Jan. 22 at 6:21 p.m. that the door of the home had been forced open sometime that day and jewelry, photography equipment and other property was stolen.
Northampton
■ A 13-year-old Northampton girl was arrested about 9:16 p.m. at home on two counts of domestic assault and battery. The girl allegedly kicked the victim in the face and stomach after an argument over phone and Internet privileges, police said.
■ Jonathan Anthony Laurence, 52, was arrested about 8:47 p.m. at the Interfaith Shelter, 43 Center St., on a charge of trespassing after becoming disruptive, police said.
UMass
■ Prayukta Dhungel, 22, of 81 Belchertown Road, Unit 81, was arrested Thursday at 1:39 a.m. on Massachusetts Avenue on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
