TRACKING A MYTH
What to make of an artist who should have become an American superstar — but never did? That’s one of the questions explored by “Searching for Sugar Man,” a riveting documentary about Sixto Rodriguez, a singer whose voice and haunting lyrics made him a household name during the anti-apartheid struggle in South Africa — but whose music remains unknown in the U.S., where he lives. The film entranced viewers at the Sundance Film Festival and is still playing twice daily at the Amherst Cinema, at least through Jan. 10.
ANOTHER GOOD BET
