At the same time, a man and woman got into a confrontation on the surface level of the nearby parking garage, where a number of people who had been inside the club were gathered.
The woman, identified as Shavoryia Geneva McElroy, 21, of Mattapan, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after she refused to calm down and cooperate with officers, Knightly said.
The other man fled the scene.
While police were arresting McElroy, a man who said he was her boyfriend tried to intervene. Michael Aaron Madrey, 23, of Hyde Park, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and two counts of resisting arrest, Knightly said.
A short time later, another man came running out of the bar to confront police,Knightly said. Derek Atocha, 22, of Dorchester, was taken into custody on charges of disorderly conduct and two counts of resisting arrest, Knightly said.
Police are continuing to investigate the initial incident that prompted the response. One man suffered a contusion to his head but denied needing medical attention.
