Race, gender a factor in targeting Rice, Bigby?

To the editor:

As Republicans in Massachusetts target Secretary of Health and Human Services JudyAnn Bigby and as Republicans in Washington target Susan Rice, we can ask, What do these two attacks have in common? Could it be race and gender? You would think these Republican guys would have learned something from the last election and our country’s changing demographics. But I guess not.
