Easthampton police investigate theft of $15,000 worth of equipment and materials from Industrial Park Way businesses
EASTHAMPTON — Police are investigating the theft of approximately $15,000 worth of equipment and construction materials from two businesses on Industrial Park Way sometime Sunday night or early Monday morning.
A representative of Dietz Construction at 7 Industrial Park Way reported to police Monday at 7:46 a.m. that someone had cut the locks off storage containers and taken $10,000 worth of construction equipment and materials.
At 10:56 a.m., an employee of Mountain Base Mold and Manufacturing Co. at 6 Industrial Park Way reported that a snow plow valued at $5,000 was stolen from the property.
Police Sgt. Bruce Nicol said there are no suspects, but officers have been doing additional patrols in the area.

■ Evisto E. Oxford, 36, of 106 Lovefield St., was arrested on Parsons Street Wednesday at 6:30 a.m. on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
■ Crystal Bergeron, 28, of 39 Chapman Ave., and her boyfriend, Ryan Ribeiro, 25, of 124 Franklin St., Feeding Hills, were arrested Monday at 10:27 a.m. after cashing false checks that were taken from Bergeron’s father, police said.
Both were charged with larceny over $250, forgery of a check and uttering a false check. Bergeron also had a warrant for her arrest.
■ A 15-year-old boy was arrested on Arlington Street Saturday at 10:11 a.m. on charges of domestic assault and battery after he allegedly pushed his mother. She was not injured, police said.
Hadley
■ Vidal Faustino, 22, of 893 West St., Amherst, was arrested on a shoplifting charge after allegedly stealing $104 in merchandise from Stop & Shop on Route 9 around 4:30 p.m. Monday.
■ Kristin A. Newell, 42, Andrew Newell, 17, Kenith R. Newell, 21, all of Chicopee, and Roberto Saez Jr., 35, of Springfield, were arrested on shoplifting charges after allegedly stealing $75 of clothing from Wal-Mart on R0ute 9 at 2:47 p.m. Saturday.
■ Idelfonso C. Salinas, 26, of 99 South Point Drive, Amherst, was arrested on a warrant at 11:20 p.m. Saturday following a traffic stop on Route 9.
Northampton
■ Emily M. Stevenson, 21, of Holyoke, was arrested about 2:15 a.m. Wednesday on Strong Avenue on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
■ John R. Noble, 70, of 267 Locust St., apt. 308, Florence, was arrested about 8:39 p.m. Tuesday at home on a Northampton District Court warrant related to a charge of domestic assault and battery.
■ Sean Mathers, 39, of 8 Oakridge Circle, Easthampton, was arrested about 8:32 p.m. Tuesday on Pleasant Street on a Northampton District Court probation violation warrant.
■ Angela A. Woodman-Crete, 18, whose address is listed as the streets of Massachusetts, was arrested about 9:14 a.m. on Center Street on a charge of violating a harassment prevention order.
