Facebook page seeks to send Mitt message
To the editor:
As Massachusetts citizens, we have a valuable perspective on Mitt Romney as a government executive. A person in another part of the country would think from listening to him that his time here as governor was wonderful and he was well-loved. He doesn’t mention that when he left office his approval was at 34 percent and he would not have been re-elected if he had tried.
Few Massachusetts residents are calling for four more years of being led by Mitt. This is important information that people in swing states need to know. Our vote will not matter on Nov. 6, for Mitt is not even contesting his home state. However, our voices prior to the election need to inform voters in the swing states that will decide if Mitt will be our next president. How is this being done? There is a new Facebook page — “Mitt: he was my governor; I don’t want him as my president.” You can find it by putting “www.facebook.com/Mittnotmypresident” in an online search.
Use this chance to tell people you know, both in Massachusetts and especially in other states, that Mitt is a proven leader, only a very poor one. Do more than “like” the page. Add your comments about how his time as governor impacted you, your family, your community, our state.
