Cummington artshow to help with church rebuilding

“Now and Then,” an exhibit by American-Dutch painter Jeanne Johns of small oil portraits painted between 1996 and 2012 will open with a reception on Sunday, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Cummington Community House, 33 Main St., Cummington. The exhibit will remain on display until Oct. 21. Ten percent of all proceeds from the exhibit will be donated to the West Cummington Church Rebuilding Fund.
Jeanne Johns has been painting professionally for nearly 50 years. She spent the last 36 years living in the Netherlands, where she currently resides with her partner, Herman den Beer. Her son, contractor Craig Johns, lives with his wife, Joy, and their son in Cummington. The Cummington Community House is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For information, email jeanne.johns@gmail.com
