By the numbers: Northampton’s Leading the Way energy program produces big savings

Some facts and figures about Northampton’s Leading the Way program:

∎ 158 Northampton businesses have received assistance. That’s about one-fourth of the businesses in the city.

∎ 24 businesses have invested $438,768 since the program started one year ago.

∎ Those businesses will each save $75,000 annually and lower the city’s annual commercial electricity use by 625 megawatt hours.

∎ Utility vendors have conducted 121 energy assessments and offered 51 proposals to Northampton businesses.
