UMass women's basketball falls to No. 25 St. Bonaventure

AMHERST - For most of the game, the University of Massachusetts women's basketball team looked more like a up-and-coming squad than a team on a six-game losing streak. But a 9-0 run late in the second half allowed No. 25 St. Bonaventure to pull away as the Minutewomen dropped their seventh consecutive game 69-54 Wednesday at the Mullins Center.

UMass women's basketball pulls away for win over URI

The University of Massachusetts women's basketball team pulled away in the second half en route to a 46-39 victory over Rhode Island in Kingston, R.I., Wednesday.

The Minutewomen outscored the Rams 26-13 as they improved to 6-11 overall, 1-1 in the Atlantic 10.

UMass women's basketball struggles in loss to Harvard

The University of Massachusetts women's basketball team fell behind by 24 points at halftime and couldn't recover as Harvard whipped UMass 68-47 Tuesday at the Mullins Center.

The Minutewomen (5-10) shot 26.6 percent (17-for-64) overall and 9.5 percent from 3-point range (2-for-21).

UMass advances to Cavalier Classic final

The University of Massachusetts women's basketball team returned to the court Wednesday and cruised to a 76-56 victory in the opening round of the Cavalier Classic in Charlottesville, Va.

It was the fourth straight win for the Minutewomen (5-8), who will face host Virginia in the championship game at 7 tonight.

UMass women's basketball wins third straight

The University of Massachusetts women's basketball team heads into the holiday break on a happy note as the Minutewomen edged Siena 58-55 for its third straight win Wednesday in Loudonville, N.Y.

The win was also the 500th in UMass history.

Megan Zullo (five assists) and Emilie Teuscher each had 14 points to lead UMass (4-8). Jasmine Watson added 10 points and 12 rebounds.

Minutewomen win second straight basketball game

Behind four double-figure scorers, the University of Massachusetts women's basketball team won consecutive games for the first time this season, defeating Binghamton 64-55 Monday in Vestal, N.Y.

Jasmine Watson led the Minutewomen with 16 points and nine rebounds.

Emily Teuscher added 13 points, while Shakia Robinson (nine rebounds) and Carolann Cloutier added 10 each.
