The University of Massachusetts women's basketball team led New Hampshire by as many as 18 points before losing 58-57 Friday night in Durham, N.H.
The Minutewomen (1-2) committed 11 of 27 turnovers and 10 of 18 fouls in a second half marked by poor shooting and rebounding.

AMHERST - The University of Massachusetts women's basketball team could not overcome 16 first-half turnovers and 17-point halftime deficit and suffered its first loss of the season Wednesday night at the Mullins Center.
The Minutewomen (1-1) lost 82-52 to St. John's University (2-0).
UMass coach Marnie Dacko said the size of the Red Storm was a big factor in the loss.

The University of Massachusetts women's basketball team opened its season by rallying for a 79-73 win in overtime over Boston University Sunday afternoon at the Mullins Center.
The Minutewomen (1-0) did not lead until Diatiema Hill (14 points, six rebounds, four assists) scored after seven seconds of overtime to put Umass ahead 69-67.
