Massachusetts congressmen stockpile cash in preparation for new districts

BOSTON - Members of the state's all-Democratic U.S. House delegation are stockpiling cash as they prepare to run in districts that in some cases have been radically redrawn.

One of the more closely watched races in Massachusetts pits incumbent Rep. John Tierney of Salem against GOP challenger Richard Tisei of Wakefield in the expanded 6th Congressional District.

Massachusetts US Senate candidates agree to curb attack ads

BOSTON - Republican U.S. Sen. Scott Brown and his chief Democratic rival, Elizabeth Warren, have signed a pledge to curb political attack ads by outside groups in their Massachusetts Senate race.

Under the terms of the deal, each campaign would agree to donate half the cost of any third-party ad to charity if that ad either supports their candidacy or attacks their opponent by name.
