NORTHFIELD (AP) - Police say a 79-year-old man has died after striking his head while out in the woods near his Northfield home.

Police say Robert "Bucky" Rogers often went in the woods near his home to chop firewood, but his son became concerned when he didn't return home early Sunday afternoon.

The son went to look for him and found him dead.

Proposed college in Northfield struggles to hit goal

NORTHFIELD - The C.S. Lewis College may not open on the former Northfield Mount Hermon School campus after all.

The owner, Hobby Lobby Stores Inc., will seek other potential recipients for the campus, after the C.S. Lewis College Foundation failed to raise $5 million by Dec. 31, 2011, to demonstrate its viability. To date, the foundation has raised about one-tenth that amount.
