One of my favorite things to do when my wife and I go to Florida in the spring is buying my daily, ready-made Cuban sandwich from the Publix Super Market up the street.
A Cuban sandwich is usually made with sliced roasted pork, sliced ham, Swiss cheese, pickles and mustard, sometimes salami on a crusty bread - and then it's pressed.

For the past few years we've hosted a pre-Christmas Feast of the Seven Fishes repast at our house for our close friends Connie and Judy.
But this year the holidays got away from us and C&J decided to treat us to the tradition in January. They said it was going to be a surprise.
It was certainly that - one of the best and most appreciated surprises we could imagine.
