Dubbed 'irreplaceable,' planner Stuart Beckley says goodbye to Easthampton

EASTHAMPTON - Stuart Beckley spent his last day as city planner much as he did many others in his 22 years on the job: attending meetings, coordinating details with other city officials and meeting with potential bidders for an affordable housing project on Everett Street.

Beckley, 50, of Sunderland, starts a new job as Ware's town manager Monday.

Ware woman sentenced to year in jail on cocaine charges

NORTHAMPTON - A 37-year-old Ware woman will spend the next year in jail after pleading guilty last month in Hampshire Superior Court to cocaine charges.

Christin L. O'Kane, of 80 West Main St., Apt. 2, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. She was sentenced Friday.
