CHESTERFIELD - Town planners opted to postpone a decision Monday on a controversial proposal to erect a cellphone tower on Bagg Road. They said they want to better assess whether there is a need for it and, if there is, where it should be located.

chesterfield - Incorporated in 1762, the town of Chesterfield will celebrate its 250th birthday in July. The week of July 1 has been set aside as the week the town will mark this milestone.
The 10-member 250th Anniversary Committee has been working since 2010 to plan for the event.
