EASTHAMPTON - The Easthampton girls basketball team had a week off at the worst possible time. The Eagles suffered a disheartening loss to undefeated Mahar Regional on Jan. 17, giving up an eight point lead with three minutes left. Instead of getting right back on the court a few days later, they had seven to stew on it as they prepared for Tuesday's game against another solid squad, Athol. Like the final minutes of the three-point defeat to the Senators, nothing went right for the Eagles for all 32 minutes Tuesday night, which resulted in a 53-29 loss at home.
