Turcotte to lead networking talk

The meeting will be a visitors’ day for BNI’s Mill River Chapter, which meets at the Quality Inn at 117 Conz St. in Northampton. The program is free and open to the public.

Turcotte, the owner of Turcotte Data and Design, a website design and development business in Ware, was the 2012 “Director of the Year” for BNI Western Mass.

Casey selected to represent Vision 2020

As the Massachusetts delegate, Casey will lead projects in Massachusetts and across the country to accelerate leadership among women by the year 2020, the centennial celebration of the 19th Amendment, which granted women the right to vote.

Casey will join Carla Oleska, executive director of the Women’s Fund, as the state’s delegation. Vision 2020 is comprised of 100 delegates from across the U.S.

A graduate of the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Casey is also vice president of the Professional Women’s Chamber.

Creamery rebrands on Route 9 in Hadley

Owner Brenda Fydenkevez owns two other businesses on Mill Valley Road: Split Excavating Inc. and Megan’s Valley Garden and Landscape Supply. Fydenkevez is planning a benefit event for late September to support children and families affected by domestic violence.

WNEU to host entrepreneur talk

Lalli will discuss the path he took to starting, running, and growing his business ventures. The event is free, open to the public and lunch will be provided.

In 1967 Lalli co-founded EBTEC, one of the first electron beam welding and laser sub-contacting facilities in the country. In 1986 he started Texcel Inc., which produces hermetic laser welding and marking services to the microelectronic, medical surgical instrument and medical implant industries. He also helped establish Berkshire Brewing Co. with his son Chris Lalli, among other ventures.
