Amherst skin care practice moving to former Silverscape building on North Pleasant Street
AMHERST — Amherst Laser & Skin Care Center will be opening at a new location Monday.
After several months of renovations at the former Silverscape Designs building at 264 North Pleasant St., the skin care and aesthetic medicine practice led by Dr. Robert Weitzman is ready to move to its new space.
“We’re tripling the size. We’re really excited about the move,” said Jacqueline Leighton, the practice manager.
Weitzman purchased the large yellow Victorian building, located adjacent to Kendrick Park, last fall and in November began renovating the 2,600 square feet. The current site, in a professional building at 196 North Pleasant St., has just 850 square feet.
A grand opening will be held after the center is settled at the new location, Leighton said, but various monthly specials will still be offered.
Silverscape jewelry store had been at the location since the mid-1970s until it closed May 26. Silverscape continues to sell jewelry at its Northampton location.
