McLadden’s Irish Publick House in Northampton to open on St. Patrick’s Day
NORTHAMPTON — McLadden’s Irish Publick House, a new pub in Northampton, is opening on St. Patrick’s Day.
The bar and restaurant that took over the space formerly occupied by the Pleasant Street Theater at 29 Pleasant St. is part of the McLadden chain that operates pubs in Hampden and West Hartford, Conn.
“People should come down and check out the new place,” owner Michael Ladden said of the establishment he calls a traditional Irish pub..
Ladden said his “resources” are stretched thin getting his other pubs ready for one of the busiest weekends of the year, so he isn’t quite ready to open the Northampton place permanently. It will open Sunday for the St. Paddy’s Day party from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. and then reopen for good on March 22.
