UMass 2015 Football Schedule

AMHERST — After a 2014 season that featured games on almost every day of the week, UMass’ final season in the Mid-American Conference will feature a slate of games almost exclusively on Saturday. On the schedule that was released Friday afternoon, the Minutemen have just one weekday game, their regular season finale vs. Buffalo on Friday Nov. 27. UMass Saturday hockey game at Lowell moved up to 4 p.m. for weather reasons

UMass athletic director John McCutcheon leaving for UCSB

The UMass athletic department is looking for a new leader to guide it through an important time. Multiple UMass sources have confirmed that athletic director John McCutcheon has been hired to fill the same post at University of California-Santa Barbara. An official announcement is expected later this afternoon. UMass is set to begin a search for his replacement immediately. An interim athletic director will be announced shortly as well. UMass TE Jean Sifrin will forgo senior season to enter NFL draft

AMHERST – Jean Sifrin’s long-expected departure to the NFL became official Tuesday as UMass announced that its junior tight end was officially forgoing his final year of eligibility to make himself draft eligible. The 6-foot-7, 250 pound Miami native had a break out year for the Minutemen with 41 catches for 637 yards and six touchdowns.
