Three Stars: UMass-GW
For each UMass game this season, I'll be giving out three stars to the top three performers from the Minutemen and keeping track of who earns the most three-start points over the course of the season.
I'm putting a little extra weight on No. 1. So a No. 1 star is worth five points. A No. 2 is worth three and a No. 3 is worth two.
Three Stars from UMass vs. GW
No. 1 - Raphiael Putney- The junior forward's play during UMass' comeback attempt was one of the few encouraging points in the game.
No. 2 - Cady Lalanne - Another strong offensive game. I wouldn't be surprised to see him back in the starting lineup soon.
No. 3 - Sampson Carter - Tough choice here as nobody really deserved it. Williams and Riley both had more points, but had negatives that counteracted them. Carter was solid with 8 points and six rebounds.
Season to date points:
Chaz Williams 43
Terrell Vinson 33
Jesse Morgan 26
Freddie Riley 15
Maxie Esho 14
Cady Lalanne 14
Sampson Carter 13
Raphiael Putney 10
Trey Davis 6
