NFL Power Rankings – Week 12

My thoughts to think about:
*The top 2 teams struggled against mediocre/bad teams but they both found ways to win. Houston and Atlanta remain #1 & #2.
With a loss to the Ravens, the Steelers drop out of the Top 10. They are replaced by the Buccaneers, who have won their last 4 games and 5 of their last 6.
*Not surprisingly, those same Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the Team on the Rise. They are riding high on that 4-game winning streak as they sail up the rankings from #14 to #10.
*This week’s Team on the Slide is the St. Louis Rams. The Rams played hard in Week 10 and were able to pull out a tie with the mighty 49ers. However, that doesn’t change the fact that they are 0-4-1 in their last 5 games.
*Pats recap for my New England readers: Another week, another big win as the Pats tie a franchise record with 59 points in a game. The only negative in this one was the injury to Rob Gronkowski, which will have him sidelined for at least 4 weeks. We’ll see how this affects the Pats in the weeks to come.
*Miami has now lost 3 in a row all against teams I thought they could beat (still do, actually). Now the games get tougher with Seattle, New England & San Francisco coming up. I could be looking at 4-9 when Week 15 rolls around. When is the NFL Draft next year?
*Week 11 Survivor recap – Another pick that I was sure would be an easy win turned out to be a nail-biter as the Cowboys come back against the Browns to win the game in OT.
*Week 11 Survivor pick – There are no good teams left playing at home, so I will have to go with Denver playing in Kansas City, which is always a tough stadium to play in. The Broncos are a far superior team, though. They should still win fairly easily…like the Cowboys against Cleveland…and Pittsburgh against K.C….ugh!
*I hope everyone had a very Happy Thanksgiving!!!
