More on Josh Hawkins

Today's paper featured a story on Josh Hawkins' signing to play at D-1 Loyola for lacrosse next year. The Greyhounds sent a press release out today regarding their signees for the season.

It includes the following quote from coach Charley Toomey about Hawkins:

"Josh is as athletic as any player that has ever donned a Loyola
jersey. He fits perfectly into our style of playing two way midfielders
who can push the ball up the field from defense to offense."

You can read the entire release here.

Nothing official from F-D about Alannah Driscoll-Sbar yet.

Hawkins, Driscoll-Sbar sign LOIs

Josh Hawkins, who left Amherst Regional for Deerfield Academy two years ago, signed a letter of intent Monday to play lacrosse at Loyola College, a Division I school in Baltimore, Md. The Greyhounds play in the ECAC.

Alannah Driscoll-Sbar, who helped Northampton to its first-ever state basketball title last year, signed her LOI Friday to play for Pete Cinella at Division I Fairleigh Dickinson in Teaneck, NJ.

Both stories, and more, are in Tuesday's Gazette.
