Must-see TV: The best show you're (probably) not watching
This week the folks at the Gazette's E2 blog posted their picks for the top five television shows on the air right now. And even though nobody asked for my opinion, I'm going to give it anyway.
"Friday Night Lights" and "Modern Family" and "Parks and Recreation" - good choices, E2! But come on - nobody picked "Southland"?
It's the best cop series on the air right now (and I say that with all due respect to "Blueblood" Tom Selleck and his amazing mustache).
Trivia department: "Southland's" cast includes Ben McKenzie (remember Ryan Atwood on "The O.C."? Now he's one of the good guys, and he's got a gun). It also includes Regina King, who should have gotten an Emmy nomination.
TNT is airing "Southland" reruns right now, and you can also watch episodes online. The new season starts on Jan. 17 at 10 p.m. Mark your calendar. Set your DVR. Don't miss it.
