Larry Howes, the Valley music scene legend known as Dancing Larry, passed away on August 30 at the age of 60. The bald-headed Howes brought his shimmying, quivering, vibrating moves to as many shows as he could, even during his last few years when he could no longer drive, due to a stroke that caused him to lose all sight in one eye and impaired his vision in the other. He simply asked friends for rides. And later still, when he needed a cane, he’d rest it against the stage and dance just the same. He never stopped supporting the music he loved. All by …
