Weekend Planner: Music

Northampton resident Dick Moulding describes himself as “an amateur pianist still living his teenage passion for bringing ragtime piano music to life.” A student of Jeff Barnhart and regular participant in Meg Kelsey Wright’s Piano Connection at the Northampton Community Music Center, Moulding will be the featured performer at this month’s tea party at the Pelham Library on Saturday. He’ll be playing music by Scott Joplin, Eubie Blake, Joseph Lamb, John William “Blind” Boone and James Scott on “a nice old Bechstein grand,” beginning at noon. The tea service, featuring finger sandwiches and cookies, starts at 11 a.m. Free and open to all.
