In “Eminent Domain,” a documentary short by Brian Comfort, we are introduced to Jim Bishop, a man who has been building a castle in the mountains of Colorado for more than 40 years and whose seemingly limitless capacity for manual labor is matched by fiercely opinionated diatribes that regale, offend, entertain and frighten the thousands who come to his see his work each year. In “Lichtstark,” a short narrative by David Bendiksen whose title (literally, “lightstrong”) refers to a camera lens’ ability to illuminate and create an image, a young photographer recovering from personal loss turns to his craft for consolation.
