Meredith Sokol, 24, of Holyoke, was getting ready for a date night when the Style Stop team spotted her walking along in downtown Northampton. She says she doesn’t really have a personal style, but has worn black all her life, because “black is easy.” Recently, though, she’s been toying with the idea of adding colors to her wardrobe.

nnn

THE PANTS: These are my favorite pants. They’re my only good jeans. They’re all black, which is nice.

ADDING COLOR: I think I’m starting to dip my toes into other colors.

Changing footwear: These are the only boots I have. I got them, I think it was Macy’s, on the way to a wedding. I’ll change them only when they won’t stay on my feet anymore, which is what happened to my last pair.

Etsy: It’s a website. Artists make their wares and then they can sell them on Etsy.com. Someone in Northampton made these earrings. If I had enough money I would definitely buy all my things from there. They’re all homemade, handmade local things, so it’s good to support them.

Fossil fashion: My necklace is from Happy Valley in Northampton.

Trading for a new bag: I used to work at Starbucks and we had a Yankee swap for Christmas. And I needed a bag, so I traded for this. I traded a DVD of “Robinhood: Men in Tights.”

Piercings: I got them at Haven Body Arts [in Northampton], which is the best place to buy piercings. I think I’ve had these for two years now.
