Dressed in eye-catching coral from head to toe, Emma Kohlmann stood out on Main Street in downtown Northampton. Kohlmann, who lives in Haydenville, said she likes just about every color.
PUTTING TOGETHER AN OUTFIT: It depends on how I feel. I do like layering, but you can’t really do that too much in summer.
HER STYLE: Eclectic
BLOUSE: It’s actually a pajama top.
PANTS: I got these at the Hospice Shop in Northampton. It’s my favorite — they always have the best stuff.
NECKLACE: I got it at the Mercantile. They have some very cool belly-dancer jewelry there.
SHOES: These are platform sneakers. I’m really short so I like to wear something that’s a little higher.
BRACELETS: My friend got this one at the Dollar Store. This one’s from the Salvation Army and this one’s from Turkey. Sometimes I over-accessorize.
HAIR: I bleached half of my head and then I got lazy and it grew out. It was blue and purple.
DRESSING FOR THE HEAT: I work at the Hungry Ghost bakery, so it’s really hot there. I have a simple dress that I wear all the time — it’s short and it’s made of cotton.
PARTING SHOT: Wear what you feel good in. And don’t follow trends.
