Suzanne Wilson's best bets

SHE’S NOT COMPLAINING

Elinor Lipman’s fans are familiar with the wit and smarts she brings to her novels: her latest is “The View from Penthouse B.” They may be less aware of her talents as a non-fiction writer. In a new collection, “I Can’t Complain: (All Too) Personal Essays,” she takes on subjects ranging from condiments to life after her husband’s death. She’ll be at Broadside Bookshop in Northampton Wednesday at 7 p.m., and at the Odyssey Bookshop in South Hadley Thursday, also at 7.

ANOTHER GOOD BET

This is the last weekend to see “The John F. Kennedy Experience,” an exhibit at the Wood Museum of Springfield History that explores the young president’s life and legacy. Saturday 10 to 5, Sunday 11 to 5. $15; $10 seniors, students. springfieldmuseums.org.
