When they spotted Martha Lellman in downtown Northampton, the Style Stop team immediately noticed her jacket with lots of buttons. Lellman, a mother of three daughters, lives in Florence.

THE JACKET: I found it at The Artisan Gallery in Northampton. I went in there recently wearing it and the employees liked it so much, they asked me where I’d gotten it. I told them, ‘I got it here!’

ITS APPEAL: I love the big white buttons. It’s also made from sweatshirt-like material so it’s super comfortable and easy to care for.

SHARING: I have three daughters, so we do share clothes. In fact, when one of my daughters was borrowing this jacket, I had a hard time getting it back.

SHOES: These are made by Born and I got them at Zanna in Amherst. I love the velvet laces on them. I was looking for menswear-type shoes and I liked these the best. When I buy shoes, I mainly look for comfort — I never wear heels so I don’t have a lot of fancy shoes but I have lots of sneakers.

WHERE SHE SHOPS: I make it a point to dress locally. Except my sunglasses are from the Gap and my bright blue bag is from Marshalls.

THE BAG: I immediately loved the color and shape of this bag. It’s so bright and it just jumped out at me. But it’s also really simple and I like that it doesn’t have any logos on it or weird bling. I hate things that are cheesy looking.

WINTER WEAR: I’m always cold so I usually wear long sleeves and cashmere sweaters in solid colors.

STYLE ICON: I don’t have any. I just try to buy what I like and wear what is comfortable.

PERSONAL STYLE: I don’t like too many busy prints or trendy accessories. I would say my style is classic.
