musical tradition

For 20 years, Amherst Leisure Services Community Theater has been staging musicals that provide entertainment for all ages, with productions featuring local children, teens and adults and backstage help from hundreds of dedicated volunteers. This year’s show, “Fiddler on the Roof,” will finish its run with performances tonight, Saturday afternoon and evening, and Sunday afternoon. Visit alsct.org for tickets and information.

Get a close look at the instrument that catapulted the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and myriad other musicians to fame at the Springfield Museums’ exhibit “Guitar: The Instrument That Rocked the World,” a show organized by the National Guitar Museum. Vintage instruments, interactive exhibits and the world’s largest playable guitar will be on display through April 21.
