Steve Pfarrer’s best bets

If it’s not too late to get tickets, head down to the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton tonight at 7 to catch Big Al Anderson and The Spampinato Brothers, whose common roots are their past membership in NRBQ, the legendary New England roots rock band that was playing in the Valley back in the early 1970s. Tonight there will be separate sets by Anderson’s band and the Spampinatos, after which the old e_SSRqQ members will join in for a trip down memory lane. www.iheg.com

Through Monday, you can still check out the 2012 Holiday Exhibition at William Baczek Fine Arts in Northampton, which features new work — paintings, sculpture, photography — by a variety of Valley and regional artists, including Scott Prior, Dennis Sheehan, Robert Sweeney, Gina Kamentsky, Susan Mikula and others. www.wbfinearts.com
