A NATIONAL SHOCK
The 1998 killing of Matthew Shepard, a gay University of Wyoming student who was beaten, tied to a fence post and left to die, shocked the nation. Tonight at 7 p.m., at the Northampton Center for the Arts, teenage actors from the Starlight Repertory Company will present “The Laramie Project,” a play that examines the story from multiple standpoints: the murderers’ family and friends, ranchers and professors, members of the LGBT community and Matthew’s father.
