Smith College student Dana Elliot was crossing Pleasant Street in Northampton when the Style Stop team noticed her unusual combination of ripped jeans and Buddy Holly-esque glasses.

JEANS: I don’t normally wear a lot of ripped clothes, unless it just happens. I think that altering your clothes is one thing, but altering them to make it look distressed doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.
“Alice in Wonderland” TATTOO: I got it with my sister. We used to do a lot of reading to each other, and Alice kind of epitomized everything that made us want to read to each other.
GLASSES: They’re OGI. They’re not fake glasses. I’m actually blind.

PERSONAL STYLE: I don’t really wear things that are super-frivolous. Even the bags I wear make sense to me. Functionality is really important to me.

FASHION ICONS: Buddy Holly-type people. There are a lot of male icons that I look at. 1950s style is very interesting to me.

STYLE ADVICE: Wear what makes sense.
