Weekend planner: dance
If you can move, you can dance — such is the philosophy of Northampton’s Dance Generators, a company that taps the talents of folks ranging in age from 23 to 88. Firing up for their 15th annual recital this weekend, the troupe will be joined on the stage of Mount Holyoke College’s Kendall Studio Theater by the Amherst-based Da Camera Singers and the Dolphin Dancers, a children’s dance company based in Cummington. The program will feature choreography by artistic director Kristin Horrigan and by guest choreographers Maureen Shea, Fritha Pengally and Jennifer Polins, as well as improvisation.
Performances are Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. $15 general admission; $10 students; $5 children under 12. Advance reservations are recommended at www.dancegenerators.org.
