The following author appearances, readings and book events are planned for the coming week in the Valley:

BROADSIDE BOOKSHOP: Poets Jeff Dolven and David Kherdian will read from their work Wednesday, 7 p.m. at the bookstore, 247 Main St., Northampton. 586-4235.

EMILY DICKINSON MUSEUM: Emily Dickinson Poetry Marathon and Homestead 200th Anniversary Open House — Daylong reading of all 1,789 of Dickinson’s poems next Friday, 3-8 p.m., at the museum, 280 Main St., Amherst.
